So we went on our weekend retreat! It was AHHHHMAZING! Josh lead music for a Dnow in Hickory Flat, Ms. We had a blast. My husband has the pictures on his computer so I'll post them soon!

Big changes are coming. We found out today that our lease will be moved up and we will be able to move out in May. We have to be out of our apartment in 3 & a half weeks! EEK. We only have a one bedroom apartment but from all my yardsales, we got tons of stuff AKA packing nightmare. If packing isn't enough to do in 3 weeks, Im going to host a wedding shower too! EEK. Im excited and having a mini mental breakdown at the same time. I still have 3 test/projects to finish with school. Then host shower, then move, start summer school, get my best friend hitched. Whew I'm exhausted just thinking about it. Its going to be a crazy next couple of weeks. If I post pics in the coming months with thinner hair, don't make fun. I'm stressed.

So, I need your best packing advise. We will be storing all of our stuff in Josh's moms old office/basement. Its huge. Do I have a great MIL or what?

I'm off to bed, without the Hubby. He's off saving the world or meeting about our church plant. Either one:)

hi Katie. We're a military family, so let's say that we have moving down to a science! My advice is to pick a no-pack zone (mine is typically a walk-in closet) and place everything that you want to use/keep with you for the next few weeks in there. Then you can have anyone and everyone come over to your house and pack like crazy. They won't have to ask any questions - whatever is not in the no-pack zone, gets packed. Sorry this is lengthy - hope this helps!

Oh, wow, you have so much going on! As for packing, labeling is KEY. Organizing things by theme and room is your best bet. That way when you need something later you'll know just where to find it. You'll drive yourself crazy otherwise!

The "no pack" zone is brilliant. There's nothing like trying to find your favorite shoes and having one packed and the other loose somewhere. Keeping all the things you need on hand in one place is a great idea. GOOD LUCK!

i don't have packing down to a science, yet. but i would just start taking things, little by little, to Carolyn's house. load up your car, with things that you don't use right now & take it to carolyn's. you don't even have to box it up. (unless you aren't gonna be using it at carolyn's!)

don't stress, it will all get done. it always does.

Hi there!
As far as packing tips go, #1 label, label, label, and if you're REALLY organized, make a list of what is in each box so you can find it later if you really need to. pack like items together. pack at least one box of "homey" stuff...to make you feel comfortable in your new space.

On another note...i feel your pain...two papers+one assignment+one quiz+exams next week=completely crazy life for the past few weeks. You'll get through it though...I promise.
I just hosted a baby shower last weekend...so if you need any ideas, i've been googling like crazy and have plenty to share! I hope to post the pics on the blog soon, so we'll see how that goes (I did get them edited and sent to the guest of honor though).

Anywho, hope all is well with you and Josh! Happy Exam week! LOL
God Bless
