Cousin Date

We did several Cousin dates this month. C's two favorite was the $2 movie to see Rio and a trip to Bass Pro shop with my whole family for Father's Day.

the kid ate 5 FULL boxes of popcorn at the movie. It was seriously heaven for him. W sat pretty contently the entire time too!

These four had such a fun time together at Bass Pro! C pretty much just wanted to be whereever UDAH (judah) was going to be. So thankful for their sweet friendship!

Cousin Date

My sister and I take turns baby sitting each others kids so we can have date nights. Our kids absolutely love it. I'm so thankful for the sweet relationship the five of them have. I can't wait to add more cousins to the mix as years go on. W and Jovie have the sweetest little bond. W lights up major anytime Jovie comes around. And C and Judah are BFF. Their little friendship is such an answer to prayer.

Last night we played outside, played inside, ate pizza, and watched movies in bed. Goodness I love these kiddos. photo IMG_3149.jpg photo IMG_3148.jpg photo IMG_3150.jpg photo IMG_3166.jpg

Cousin Date : Halloween Party

I absolutely loved holiday parties my teachers used to throw in elementary school. Since I will most likely be homeschooling C, I want him to still have those same fun memories. Last week, my sister and I decided to put together a last minute halloween party for our kiddos. I spent a total of $10 at Target on pumpkin plates, table cloth, bat garland, and activity packs for each kid. The activity packs were in the dollar aisle and included little games and stickers. My sister was in charge of the food, and it turned out so simple and cute! I also made little goody bags from supplies on hand and halloween candy. They played, ate lunch, watched Toy Story (a Halloween version), and we made finger print pumpkins (or big toe prints if your Willow:). I had all the supplies for that on hand, too. I plan to set it out every year for fall. It pretty much makes my knees go weak just looking at their tiny prints. I can't wait to do this for other holidays. And hopefully next time if we plan in advance, some other little friends can join us.

Family Date : 10/12 : The Pumpkin Patch

We had so much fun taking C to the pumpkin patch last year, we knew it was a must again this year. And will obviously be for many many more years to come. This year we went with my sister and her family again, and my parents came along. We went this past Saturday to Cedar Hill Farms down in Hernando. That place is crazy huge and amazing. We started off with the petting zoo, pig races, and train ride. Of course, C was way more into the train ride than anything else there. After that we rode horses, played on the playground, and grabbed some lunch at their cafe. We ended our time with a hayride out to the pumpkin patch. Don't mistake my lack of written detail here for the amount of fun we had. This very pregnant mama is battling a headache and braxton hicks at the moment. But Rest assured, we had a seriously fun time. Of all the Saturdays in fall, we probably picked the best one ever to go. We couldn't get over how "fall" it felt that day even with the sun shining so bright. The kiddos wore themselves slap out (if you couldn't tell in the pic of them with my parents, we took it right as we were leaving, and they were all so exhausted). My goodness I love fall and everything about it. Days like this are always tucked away in my memory vault as some of the best days ever. Aren't fall traditions the best? well.... after Christmas traditions, of course.

Okay, now I'm headed down for a nap to hopefully get rid of this piercing headache. I'll drift off to memories of this day and prayers that little girl will arrive soooooonn!:)

Cousin Date

on saturday, i woke up with an itch to spend as much of the day outside as possible. We thought about hitting up some museums since it was National Museum Day, but ultimately we decided on the park. I knew C would absolutely adore if his favorite person (besides me:) came along. I texted my sister and she was thrilled to let Judah join us. We picked him up and headed to the park. These two little boys are the absolute best of friends. The second Judah got in the car, they started giggling and didn't stop until we dropped Judah back off. We had a picnic, went on a nature walk, played on the playground, watched the ducks, ate a yummy cookie, saw a choo choo, and had SO much fun. I'm so thankful C has a built in best friend for life in Judah. Watching their little friendship grow is the BEST!

^Tan Tan and Udah. These two will be up to no good together forever:)

Thank you sister for letting me borrow your boy for the day! I hope we can make Cousin Dates a new regular in our home. ESPECIALLY as all my other siblings start having babies one day. Some of my best memories growing up include all my cousins, and I want C&W to have the same.
