Thursday mornings with Willow

This year, C started going to Thursday School. So, every thursday morning, Willow and I got some one on one girl time. I treasured these few hours with her. She would get so excited for a  "girl's date". We often just ran errands or stopped by daddy's office, but to her, they were little adventures.

I had to take pictures for my brother one Thursday morning so I snapped a quick few of her while we waited.



 

 




 


Another Thursday morning, I took her to get her nails done. She was so so so thrilled. She sat perfectly still in my lap with her fingers all stretched out so they could dry. Y'all, it was seriously precious. She showed those nails to anyone and everyone. I'm so thankful we had these mornings together. Praise the Lord for little girls!

some of my favorite moments with my babies is right after their naps. They are usually pretty happy, very cuddly, and their hair is always enjoyable. The other day they were just being wayyyy tooo cute for me to handle so I grabbed my camera quickly and snapped these. Now I just need to frame like almost every single one.


 
 
 


 

 this last one is pretty blurry and off focus, but I just love it so much of my girl. Thank you Lord for these sweet two and their crazy, unruly hair.

C the Photographer

a few weeks ago I taught C how to use my camera. Bless him, it was almost too heavy for him to even hold up. He practiced shooting on me and his daddy. I had just finished working out and looked a mess, but I love that he captured me like this. Because, most days, this is how I look to my kiddos. Hair in a bun, workout clothes, and just snuggling the mess out of them.







These he took of me and W will forever be some of my faves. She had major bed head and was in one of my favorite "just woke up snuggly" moods.
 






 Seriously, so impressed with how he did. I, of course, adjusted the camera settings for him in manual, but taught him how to focus and move the camera. Who knows, maybe we will have a photographer on our hands.

Our Fall Family Photoshoot 2015

Before our photoshoot with the talented Nicole of 314 Productions, I managed to snap just a few of willow for her one year pics. How is she a year?? How is she so big, and so cute, and just the best little girl on the planet????

okay, now on to the session. I tried my hardest to narrow down, but there were just SOOO many great ones. Nicole blew it out of the park. Seriously, I'm blown away. This girl is not only our photographer for life, she's also the sweetest friend. I can count on one hand the number of friends I have that I plan on keeping by my side until the Lord takes me home, and she's one of them for sure. We've walked the hard and joyful roads together, we've pointed one another to the Lord, we've prayed, we've dance, we've cried, we've squealed, we've cheered each other on. One word to describe her: Selfless.

Thank you sweet friend for taking these, for always be available in all things, and for loving my little family so well. You are a gem, and these photos are such a treasure!
