I almost didn't go to yard sales this morning, I've been feeling a little groggy lately. However, I couldn't help but lay there thinking....what if I miss that perfect find?? I finally made myself get up and go. I found several great little gems, and then retired early enough to cook the Hubby breakfast before he go up!:)
Here's the Trash to Treasures : I even did a REDO this morning!
I got this fella at a FIVE house garage sale, only bad thing: They were WAY overpriced. I did get this guy though... for ONE BUCK:)
Green Clear Vase I got for 50cents
I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this pig. I just thought he was so cute! IDEAS?? He was 50cents
I did a quick remake this morning : I got this plant hanger for 25cents
With a little scrapbook paper & paint : I made this little guy! LOVE IT! Holds my Hubby's reading material perfectly:)
So Today I spent a GRAND total of....... $3.25 !!!! Hopefully, I'll be feeling better next week & I can do some MAJOR yardsaling!

Not quite sure why that reading material holder cracked me up quite so much, but it did. It's really cute and a great idea!
That plant hanger was a great find and how you used is even better!!!

Love the plant hanger! Was just telling the man the other day that we need something in the bathroom for all his MX Magazines! And I know EVVVVVVVVERYBODY (me included) is doing the chalkboard thing, but seriously...that pig is BEGGING to be a chalkboard. :)
You always find such great stuff! The literature holder is great! I just got home from a day trip so it's too late to share todays finds. I'll be back next weekend if you decide to do this again.

You found some great stuff!
ooooooooooooo, that green vase is WONDERFUL. So simple and chic!
You gotta love your husbands galvanized reading bucket!!! Cute.
Paint another sign on your piggy that says:
To Market, To Market:
and have one of those little grocery pads attached.
Or maybe: "Ham it Up"

I got you all linked up on my post now..so sorry I had tow of them not working..love the blog world...thanks for stopping by to visit..
I have similar pig cutting board which is solid maple. I would strip the paint off and use it to serve bread.
Great deals! I love how you turned the wall pocket into a book holder ... too cute!

Love the magazine holder! What a cute idea. I also love the long legged snowman, he will be so cute at Christmas time.
Don't you hate it when you find a yard sale and they are too high? Drives me crazy!
Cute idea for reading materials. I love the way you posed the little snowman, with his little butt on your throw pillow...lol.
Please stop by and say hi.
Love the pig! If it were mine, I would do chalboard or decopauge it, attach a cute sign below and add ribbon to hang it,that's just my 2 cents. Have fun with it and let me know how you transform it.
cute button. i tried to do one the other day and my patience lasted 2.3 seconds before i gave up!!
What a great little green vase!
I love your treasures! Your reading material holder turned out so cute! Great job!
Try decoupaging the pig! I just did an elephant and it turned out so cute (scroll down the left side bar on my blog).
:)
Thanks so much for hosting a fun party! I haven't been to a yardsale in quite a while but I love seeing everyone's projects! Hopefully I'll get to at least one next weekend.

Cute finds!
I love that reading pale! I've been needing something like that for our bathroom and no magazine racks fit! Thanks!
I would SO paint the pig with chalkboard paint. I have seen one like this very similiar at Hobby Lobby. Too cute, it's my fave! And what a great deal!!
Cool stuff! Love how you repurposed the tin hanger!! Cool!!!
Neat finds! The bucket with READ on it is so cute!
Hey there, I got your button on my post! Sorry about that! :)
I feel the same way about missing garage sales and thrift stores. Someone is getting away with a treasure right this minute because I am just sitting here. Love your glass jars and that I've found your blog!
Hey girl!!
I just posted a new post and linked to this party!!
You've been busy! Fun transformations.
LOVE the reading material storage! Cute!
Soon as I saw that I knew it would go in the bathroom ;-)
I linked up and put the button on my blog! Great finds!
Leslie
I'd paint the pig with chalkboard paint & use it in the kitchen for love notes!
You got some really great finds this weekend, especially considering it was a holiday weekend! I know EXACTLY what you mean about laying in bed and wondering if you are going to miss a great deal - hate that feeling!
LOVE what you did with the bucket - too cute!
can't resist--could you do a silly swine flu sign on that pig?
maybe "swine flu not welcome here"?
If you paint chalkboard paint--then you could do a swine flu thing and then redo it when that isn't the talk of the town...
:)
This may sound odd for the pig, but since the shape is so cute, what if you decoupaged it with a black & white damask paper? I think that would be interesting.
Love all your finds! For the pig, I may would spray him all red, then do a chalk board in the middle (leaving a small red border) and hang with some black and white checked ribbon?? Just a thought.
